So why make something for a CHRISTIAN HOLIDAY Halal? If you are so devout you need to eat Halal products – despite consuming other food being allowed by your religion – then why are you eating Easter eggs/bunnies etc.? if you are a devout Muslim who can let me know the answer and logic behind this, please email us. – Ivy Blake, Truth Movement News
Cadbury’s rolling out Halal-certified Easter Eggs
Cadbury’s are already rolling out chocolate eggs and bunnies for Easter and guess what? They’re Halal-certified. Yes apparently Muslims are now celebrating Christian and Pagan festivals and holidays.
There’s political correctness and then there’s just pure plain idiocy (which is not far down the spectrum from PC anyway). After experiencing a drop in sales which kept the Cadbury factory closed over an extended period of time during the last few months, you’d think they’d have cottoned on to this boycott.
Instead, they’re throwing all their eggs (pun intended) into one basket. One Halal-certified basket, I might add. It really is just bad business.
AUAER call on all its supporters to continue boycotting Cadbury and support the non-Halal certified Lindt Chocolate. You can also be pro-active in showing Cadbury that you mean business by moving Lindt chocolate products in front of Cadbury’s on the supermarket shelves. Many of our supporters on Facebook have been doing this and sending in pics, much to our delight.
